How do I unlock my sexual being?

Nicholas Finnegan response was:Take some time to discover this for yourself. Allow yourself to feel sexy and tell yourself that you are… I bet you have the ability to turn any man on, you just haven’t realize it yet. Stand in front of a mirror strip off all of your clothes and tell yourself just how sexy you look. Practice sexy faces, and movements. It’s all about becoming comfortable with your sexuality, then you’ll be open to trying new things and unlocking your true sexual potential.

My final project started great it seemed as though everything was going great and the ideas were flowing in like crazy. And we decided on a topic and that everyone was going to write a piece and that was the end of that meeting. The second meeting didn’t happen when it was supposed to which was fine because it was conflicting with everyone’s schedule. But there was no talk of the next meeting or when we would start filming. And everyone wanted to get the project done before thanksgiving. So there was a tension to finish quick. The one time I was finally caught up on what I possibly missed, I was told to write my scene and show up on a certain day ready to film it. But somehow that got changed around and I didn’t need to write a scene I just needed to show up because apparently I was the host. So I show up assuming something was already written.. And of course i was disappointed. And appeared ill prepared because I was dressed completely casual and everyone else not so. But some how we found a way for it to work for our benefit. But there was so much confusion in the taping process because no one knew what to do, we all figured the girl filming knew what she camera wise, but she also had no clue. So I stepped up as the leader I was and I directed and acted in the same scene, just so we could get filmed what needed tobe filmed and everyone could make it to class on time. Now things are better, things just get really hectic when you have a lot of adults working on one project, some people make it important, and others don’t put it on that same scale.

The set design of Rent the musical is really unique. It’s made of a lot of steel pieces and has many different levels. Commonly an upper deck and a lower one.
I think the director chose this set to give the show an edgy look, and appeal. So that the moment the curtain rises the audience will know this show isn’t like the many you’ve seen before. It gives the show the rock and modern feel that is conveyed throughout the musicals it’s entirety. Also the director helps convey the different messages by the use of lighting. I’ve noticed in most productions the director only uses combinations of natural lights and spots. They don’t normally use any type of color to light the stage. I find this to be very effective.

I haven’t realized this until I watched Doubt alone. I thoroughly enjoy critiquing theatre. I am so observant when I am watching a show. This is a big thing for me because I often find it difficult to focus on one particular thing. Normally when I go to see a show I am not alone, I have someone there that i can talk to about whats going on in the show. Likes, dislikes. I went to see Doubt alone and I had so much to say in my head I almost burst. I started taking notes on my program. This semester in Theatre 100, I have learned there is a theatre critic within me.

The job of the choreographer. A choreographer is a person who choreographs the dances and some time blocks the scenes of a musical, T.V. show or motion picture. Depending upon the show and their experience with the genre they must first study the types of dances used in that specific period of time and also the appropriate level of dance experience needed to perform said types of dance. Most of the time the choreographer plays a huge role in the casting of performers, making sure each dancer is equipped.

A famous choreographer is Agnes de Mille, who in the early 1900’s wasn’t the ideal size for a prima ballerina, but she didn’t let that stop her from pursuing her dreams. She one of the first choreographers to choreograph a dance using all african americans.

A performance that i will never forget was one performed by Anika Noni Rose in the movie “For Colored Girls.” The movie in its entirety was a powerful one that i believed reached all people on some level. But it was something special about her performance that spoke to me. She was playing a bubbly outgoing dance teacher with so much spunk and charisma so full of light. Throughout the duration of the movie something traumatic happens to her character and that light that was beaming from the personality the character possessed disappeared, and her pain was evident. It was so believable that she was hurt and a changed woman because of the circumstance. You can tell the character wanted in the begin what an everyday person wants success and love, which by the end of the movie becomes the will to survive.

What did you think about the auditions you saw? How is auditioning in theatre similar or different from any public speaking or presentation you may have done?

I auditioned for Generals and i also watched some of the auditions. I thought those who were prepared delivered well and those who last minute put things together had trouble and it was pretty evident. I feel like auditioning in theatre and public speaking are very similar they both take preparation, confidence and a little bit of talent. and some are just naturally better than others.

theatreandcivilization:

Hi everyone!

Hope you all survived the great blackout and are now enjoying your day free of classes.

Answer the following in roughly a paragraph or two (250 words or less):

Describe the “theatre” you observed around you in your day-to-day life. (Did you witness a couple arguing, or spot…

The theatre that i witnessed was actually during the blackout, everyone sat around the living room talking and making jokes about each other. At one point in time it felt like the scene out of an old movie, we all sat around the radio by candle light listening for some sort of conclusion to this nightmare. the emotion was real my family and friends commented on the way they felt. especially after hearing the cause of the whole mess. My sister especially her emotion was so present, it pierced though the dimly lit room, she was very upset by the whole ordeal.

That life knowing you means everything..

It nearly killed me to try and shape you to love me..

…the way i wanted to be loved.

I love the secret love affair my thoughts have with your counter parts..

the trillions of questions swarming my head..

and if i just continue on.. feeling this way..

i will be happy..

..Because i honestly know what real love feels like.

Im never letting you go.

Playing a matchless game of tug-o-war with my heart..

With my feelings..

If my stupid Brain could get on the same page.

Its been over a month.

But in my head, time is frozen.

Silence is deadly.
Life is treading on unstable ground..
Strange events are stirring the atmosphere..
Something is about to happen.
These series of unfortunate events will return me a break through.
Everything happens for a reason..
I’m awake now, what’s up??
I’m listening now God.
